Some cracking waves to start of for me. Caught a few nice 2 footers
attemptin to carve getting some really good rides. Winds picked up
gradually throughout the session and waves were increasing all the time.
Went out the back with the big boys and the size of the waves was getting
stupid. Was setting myself up on a few of the big ones coming through. Just
as the wave was about to break; I wisely chickened out being 6 foot above
the flat water below.
Attempted to catch one of the smaller waves coming through but that was
too much for me and got chucked into the washing machine. Came out alive
and went back to the beginner section near the shoreline. The swell was so
strong and once you were chest height it was impossible to get back out
again so just catched a few of the waves in on the white water. Good
session to start of with but you needed to be good to cope with the big
waves at the end
